20 Aug 1908Resignation: Teacher Daisy Hughes resigned.
Salaries: authorised payment of quarterly salaries to James Jones, £56-12-8 (total?).
Repairs: Paid £1-12-2 to Thomas Rees, Taliesin, for repairs.
10 Nov 1908Maintenance: Accepted a tender from D O Edward of "27-0-0 for ventilation work.
28 Jan 1909Salary increase: Salary of Margaret Ellen Jones (Supplementary teacher?) increased from £20 to £25 with effect from 1 Oct 1908
15 Oct 1908Coal: Tenders for supply of coal for the school from Lewis Edwards and Son accepted, Newport coal at £1-4-8/ton, Ruabon at £1-0-2/ton.
Absence: Teacher R W Weaver absent on December 11th, for 1 day, attending Aberystwyth County School Prize Distribution.
12 April 1909Building work: Architect submitted report re: folding partition at the school. Agreed to erect same, estimate £38/10. Agreed to defer new Infants Cloakroom and other improvements to next year.
19 Nov 1908Evening Continuation Schools
A report was presented on the Evening Continuation Schools: Llancynfelyn (No.71961), teaches Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. Teachers are Thomas Evans and Thomas Evans. No. of pupils on register: 30, average no. of attendees: 15, average age: 19. Salaries paid: 10gns and 4gns, other expenses: £1-2-5, grant earned: £8-6-0, fees paid: 8s-0d.
Inspectors report: "The number registered is not large but good work is being done by those who attend regularly. The Class registers should be verified more frequently."
