Introduction |
Agorwyd Ysgol Llangynfelyn yn ei wedd bresennol yn 1876 - bu ysgolion yn y plwyf cyn hynny wrth gwrs, Llanfach, drws nesaf i'r ysgol newydd, er enghraifft. Yn 1976, er mwyn dathlu canmlwyddiant yr ysgol, comisiynwyd hanes darluniadol yr ysgol gan Cyngor Llangynfelyn. Golygywd gan J R Jones, Talybont, gyda chfraniadau gan nifer o bobol eraill. Prifathro ar y pryd oedd A Manzel James. Gyda chaniatâd caredig Cyngor Cymuned Llangynfelyn a Mr Jones rydym yn atgynhyrchu'r llyfr oll ar ein gwefan. Ysgol Gymraeg yw Ysgol Llangynfelyn, felly mae rhan fwyaf y llyfr yn y Gymraeg. Mae dwsinau o luniau diddorol iawn yn y llyfr - rydym yn eu dangos fel 'thumbnails' - cliciwch arnyn nhw i'w ehangu. |
Llangynfelyn school was opened in its present form in 1876 - there had been other schools before that, most notably Llanfach, next door to the new school. In 1976, to celebrate the centenary of the school the Community Council of Llangynfelyn commissioned an illustrated history of the school. It was edited by J R Jones, Talybont, with contributions from a number of people. The Headmaster at the time was A Manzel James. Llangynfelyn Community Council and Mr Jones have kindly given their permission for us to reproduce the entire book on the website. Most of the book is in Welsh, and we have made no attempt to translate it. However, the captions to the numerous pictures are all bi-lingual. The pictures are presented as thumbnails within the text - just click on them to enlarge them. |
