Llangynfelyn - Bartholomew's Map, 4 miles to the inch, 1919

Ymddangoswyd mapiau cyntaf yng nghyfres Bartholomew hanner-modfedd o Loegr a Chymru yn 1897, ar gyfer "Tourists and Cyclists", seiliedig ar data yr O.S.

Er hynny, daw'r rhanfap hwn o fersiwn chwarter-modfedd: dalen 4 (Gogledd Cymru) o "Road map of England and Wales" (in 12 sheets, 4 miles to the inch). Cyhoeddwyd (mwy na thebyg) yn 1913 (mae nodyn 'B13' ar waelod y dalen) - yn bendant mae'n ar ôl 1911 oherwydd y cyfeiriad yn Duncan Street sydd ar y cefn. Pris gwreiddiol y cyfres oedd 2/6 ond mae sticer ar hwn sy'n dangos pris diwygiedig o 3/-. Dyma rhan (300 dpi) o'r plwyf a'r ardal gerllaw.

The Bartholomew's series of half-inch maps for "Tourists and Cyclists" started to appear for England and Wales in 1897, based on O.S. information.

This map, however, is from a quarter-inch version: sheet 4 (North Wales) of "Road map of England and Wales" (in 12 sheets, 4 miles to the inch). It probably dates from 1913 (the date letters B13 are at the bottom of the sheet) - it is certainly post 1911 as it shows the Duncan Street address for Bartholomews. The original price of the series was 2/6 - but this one has a sticker showing a revised price of 3/-. We have here an extract (at 300 dpi) of the parish and surrounding area
