Siart Morlys 1411 |
Admiralty Chart 1411 |
Dangosir siartiau'r Morlys Llangynfelyn! Dyma rhanfapiau o ddalen 1411 (New Quay to Holyhead). Mae'r dyddiad yn gymheleth: Roedd y morfesuriad cyntaf yn 1835, gwnaethpwyd y brif engrefiad yn 1878, ychwanegwyd sawl cywiriad pwysig hyd at 1911, a nifer o gywiriadau mân hyd at 1939 - pan yr argraffwyd y copi hwn! Y graddfa yw 2 fôr-filltir i'r moddfedd, a scaniwyd y brif delwedd ar 300dpi. Mae'r llun isod yn dangos ardal y plwyf a'r alltraeth. Mae genym hefyd yr ardal o Aberdyfi lawr i Aberystwyth, gan gynnwys holl Sarn Gynfelyn. Yma ceir hefyd yr allwedd i'r symbolau ayyb. Dangosir y siart hefyd 'Golygfeydd', sef proffil y tir fel yr ymddangosir o gyfeiriadau gwahanol. 'View G', sydd ar waelod y tudalen, yw'r llinell rhwng Borth Head a Moel y Llyn. |
Llangynfelyn actually appears on Admiralty charts! The extracts here are from sheet 1411 (New Quay to Holyhead). The date is complicated: the earliest surveys are from 1835, the main engraving was done in 1878, various major corrections added to 1911, and minor corrections were added up to 1939 - when this copy was printed! The scale is 2 nautical miles to the inch, and the main image was originally scanned at 300dpi The image below shows the area of the parish and immediately offshore. We also have the area from the Dyfi down to Aberystwyth, including all of Sarn Cynfelyn. We also have the key to symbols etc.The map also shows 'views' - profiles of the land seen from particular directions. View G is the line from Borth head to Moel y Llyn and appears below the larger map. |
